I live naked and barefooted, very close to Earth and Nature, in an 18-acre, off-grid, clothing-optional, food-forest intentional community (GaiaYoga Gardens), way out in the jungles of Lower Puna, far East Big Island, Hawai'i, and I have for more than 6 years now. Although there are many challenges, I love my life, and I'm immensely grateful to live where and how I do, on my own terms! I would not want to live any other way! 😁🙏💚⚡💥🔥✴️✳️❇️👣🌱✨🤙
Warm greetings all! 😁🙏💚✨🤙
My choice to switch my end-of-year-HPUD-powerup assets (from my recent $600 fiat investment) from the SWAP.HIVE:SWAP.LTC pool (and the SWAP.HIVE:SWAP.BTC pool) to the SWAP.HIVE:DEC pool was a very good idea indeed, with my assets in it growing more quickly than I've seen up to this time in any pool. At the 12-hour mark, as I mentioned yesterday, I had earned 0.30504931 SWAP.HIVE/84.27538074 DEC, by 24 hours I had earned 0.44279183 SWAP.HIVE/109.85401758 DEC, and now, at the 36-hour mark, I've earned 0.65704448 SWAP.HIVE/162.77079906 DEC, which is really quite exceptional. Given the profitability of this pool, I believe that I'll allocate my next big Hive fiat investment into it, to let it accrue pool fees over an extended period, as a long-term investment, because with how quickly it's growing now, that would seriously add up over time.
How I honed in on, and finally chose the best pool to grow my mega-powerup assets for the next three months, and how I find the most-profitable pools in general, is by assessing pools using 4 important metrics, the total liquidity in a pool, the amount of pool fees earned from keeping assets in the pool, the trade/swap volume, and the daily liquidity rewards (if a pool has some, as many don't). In terms of profitability, the lower the total liquidity a pool has, the more our investment will count, as our shares will comprise a greater percentage of that total liquidity.
The total liquidity of a pool is the only one of the metrics which is better when it's lower, as it gives us more bang for the buck. For the other three, the higher those metrics, the better. The SWAP.HIVE:DEC pool has the highest earned pool fees, and the highest trade/swap volume, of any pool on Hive Engine, with a surprisingly low total liquidity, which is a perfect combination. Although it doesn't receive daily liquidity rewards, it more than makes up for it by how quickly assets grow in that pool.
The fees earned in a pool are directly connected its trade/swap volume, since the pool fees come from people swapping tokens, so the more people swap using a pool where we have assets, the more pool fees that we'll receive, with the reverse also being true, without much swap volume, fees accrue far less frequently and less quickly.
Some pools don't accrue pool fees very quickly at all, but they have excellent daily liquidity rewards, which makes them quite profitable indeed. This latest $600 fiat investment allowed me to test and experiment with different pools (though I didn't know or expect that), based on analyzing the above-mentioned metrics, so I got to put my ideas into action, to see if they panned out. I can say now that they do, and that these four metrics will inform all my future pool investments.
Yesterday, Friday, I left the Flow House, after finishing up my Hive tasks, just after 1:30PM, putting my attention on some sunbathing on the trampoline in the Peanut Lawn. After getting a good sunning, I finally got to doing some photography for my posts. Once I had a nice batch of shots, I went to chop bad/used coconuts at the upper coco bar, and to tidy the area a bit. When I had that completed, I took a quick asaet-management break up at the Flow House, then I got my machete and I did some clearing in the durian orchard, as it was getting quite overgrown. Once I had a good area cleared, I went to take a shower, sunbathe on the trampoline one more time to dry off, then to the Landing to make myself some food (spiced-and-seasoned ground beef, eggs, onions, tomatoes, longevity spinach leaves, olive oil, and sea salt), and with that and my jar of leftover superfood fire coffee in hand(s), I headed back to the Flow House, to start with my evening Hive tasks, and to catch up on my notifications. I got everything done by just before 10PM, and after some asset management, and a scan of my X feed, I went to bed just before 12AM. I woke up around 4AM, and unable to sleep, I did a bit more asset management, then I made another mostly-unsuccessful attempt at sleep. I finally got up around 7:45AM, definitely feeling that I needed more sleep, doing more asset management, going to make my superfood fire coffee in the Landing, then returning to the Flow House to write this post. It's now just after 12:15PM, so a great time to wrap this up, so that I may get to my other few important Hive tasks, before leaving the Flow House a little later in the afternoon, to focus first on photography, and then community/land work. I deeply appreciate y'all so very much! Until tomorrow's expression of these posts! Always forward, onward, upward, and whaleward, ho, together we go! 😁🙏💚✨🤙
2025 Life Goals
1.) Do regular integral practices again, alone or with others.
2.) Prepare regular batches of my medicinal teas collected from the land again.
3.) Make my plant nursery, and the gardens, beautiful again.
4.) Begin learning relevant coding/programming languages to more fully contribute to the sovereignty-driven technologies where I am active, like Arch Linux, Hive, Qortal, DeSo, and Bastyon.
All photos were taken with my Motorola G Play 2024 Android Phone.
Thank you all so much who have helped me get to where I am today, and allowing me to share more of the beauty and magic from my life and my world with you, and for your continuous appreciation and support! I am truly deeply grateful! 😁🙏💚✨🤙
