I live naked and barefooted, very close to Earth and Nature, in an 18-acre, off-grid, clothing-optional, food-forest intentional community (GaiaYoga Gardens), way out in the jungles of Lower Puna, far East Big Island, Hawai'i, and I have for more than 6 years now. Although there are many challenges, I love my life, and I'm immensely grateful to live where and how I do, on my own terms! I would not want to live any other way! 😁🙏💚⚡💥🔥✴️✳️❇️👣🌱✨🤙
Warm greetings all! 😁🙏💚✨🤙
I often hear from my fellow Hivers about their quandary of choosing whether to invest in layer 1's Hive Power and HBD in Savings, or rather into various layer-2 projects and tokens. From my perspective, after 4 years of investing and leveraging assets on Hive, I would say that this does not at all have to be an either/or decision, as there are multiple ways to invest in one, that benefits us in the other.
Let's take a look at some of the more well-known methods first. Through HP delegations we can receive layer-2 assets, like BRO, LGN (pays out twice the amount for the same value than BRO), or EDS, that then provide us with daily or weekly HIVE payouts. A similar way of doing it is to directly buy or swap for assorted income tokens, those above included, such as BXT, ARMERO, DUO, DBOND/DAB/RUG, ATX, and ATF, to name a few, which would then also give us daily or weekly payouts in HIVE.
Another excellent way is to delegate BEE to @bee.voter, and POB to @pob.voter, which will then give us weekly HIVE payouts. I mention this one to people all the time, as many aren't aware of it yet.
Accepting HP leases on Hive Engine is an extremely useful means of using our Hive Power to fuel layer-2 investments and growth, as they provide daily SWAP.HIVE payouts. I've come to really love this method, as it's been allowing me to invest hard into assorted diesel/liquidity pools, but it could be used just as effectively to acquire more HIVE-paying income tokens.
I would say, if you'd like the biggest bang for your buck, to invest in Hive Power, as aside from being of paramount importance in layer 1, it can be used to fuel growth notably in both layer 1 and Layer 2. HP leasing is one of the most effective method that I've found so far to provide me with a daily stream of investment liquidity, which can then be focused and leveraged to boost growth in both layer 1 and layer 2. May the Hive Power, and the benefits that it begets, be with you!
Yesterday, Friday, I left the Flow House, after finishing up my Hive tasks, by a little after 2:15PM, and given that the weather was far from ideal for photography, I put my attention first on collecting more coconut water and coconut meat from several younger coconuts, to begin another round of kefir fermentation. Once I had that done, I chopped and dumped bad/used coconuts at the upper coco bar, and I tidied the area up a bit. After finishing that, I got my machete and did some extensive clearing in the front orchard, partly in the rain. When I finished that for the day, I took a shower, collected my jar of leftover superfood fire coffee from the Landing fridge, and I made my way back to the Flow House, to begin my evening Hive tasks, and to catch up on my notifications. I paused that for a while to go assist Chelsea with getting some clarity on her website and blog. As soon as we had finished with that, I headed back to the Flow House to get back to Hive. I got everything done on Hive by around 9:45PM, and after some asset management, I went to bed super early, just after 10:15PM. I woke up around my usual 6AM, having slept well, doing more asset management, going to make my superfood fire coffee in the Landing, then returning to the Flow House to write this post. It's now just before 11AM, so it's a marvelous time to wrap this up, so that I may get to my other few important Hive tasks, before preparing for a session that's scheduled for 1:30PM. I deeply appreciate y'all so very much! Until tomorrow's version of these posts! Always forward, onward, upward, and whaleward, ho, together we go! 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙
2025 Life Goals
1.) Do regular integral practices again, alone or with others.
2.) Prepare regular batches of my medicinal teas collected from the land again.
3.) Make my plant nursery, and the gardens, beautiful again.
4.) Begin learning relevant coding/programming languages to more fully contribute to the sovereignty-driven technologies where I am active, like Arch Linux, Hive, Qortal, DeSo, and Bastyon.

Thank you all so much who have helped me get to where I am today, and allowing me to share more of the beauty and magic from my life and my world with you, and for your continuous appreciation and support! I am truly deeply grateful! 😁🙏💚✨🤙
