I've been learning so much lately about how to run a project and a community, and manage community assets, by seeing some of the really excellent, and also the really horrible ways that they can be run. Managing the We Are Alive Tribe and its assets, especially ALIVE, is like carefully learning how to steer a community ship into clear-sailing waters, and not become a shipwreck.
More and more Ben (@benthomaswwd) and I are coming to see the importance of creating and building our own strong and resilient ALIVE/'We Are Alive Tribe' economy, so that regarless of what's happening in the greater economic crypto seas and fiat oceans, our little spot of Alive-Tribe water is smooth sailing. Being able to cross leverage ALIVE with assorted significant on and off-chain assets will go a long way in terms of price stability, which is why I want to create the various new ALIVE liquidity pools that I've been mentioning, like ALIVE:SWAP.BLURT, ALIVE:SWAP.BTC, ALIVE:SWAP.LTC, ALIVE:BEE, and ALIVE:SWAP.HBD, to name a handful that I have in mind.
ALIVE is already a passive-income token when held and/or staked, and now I'm working to make it one in a second way as well, by adding and keeping liquidity in our ALIVE:SWAP.HIVE liquidity pool. Distributing layer-2 tokens is far more efficient and reliable when done so as liquidity rewards than having Bjorn's scripts send them out, especially with the new rate limits on Hive-Engine transactions. It's for that reason that I'm thinking the best idea is to move the distribution of all layer-2 tokens, except the ALIVE for the payouts to AP delegators, over to our liquidity pool rewards. HIVE, which is layer 1, so no problems with layer-2 rate limits, will be the sole asset sent out in our daily ALIVE dividends, but at a higher pay rate, probably 15 HIVE for the week, instead of the 10 HIVE weekly that it is now.
I'm intently working to grow our liquidity in various important pools, which will give us more investment liquidity, and it also allows me to continue increasing our liquidity positions in those and other pools, as well as an increasing daily income in all manner of layer-2 tokens, which can then be added go the liquidity rewards for our ALIVE:SWAP.HIVE pool, and/or reinvested back into the pools. As you can see, diesel/liquidity pools are an essential component to making ALIVE more useful, more valuable, stabilizing its market price, growing our layer-1 and layer-2 income streams, and to giving us more assets to add into our pool's daily liquidity rewards, strongly incentivizing people to join our pool. The more liquidity that we have in our present and future pools, the more value that will be able to flow through ALIVE, and our whole 'We Are Alive Tribe' economy.
I'm focused on strongly increasing our liquidity in the SWAP.HIVE:BXT and the SWAP.HIVE:PWR pools as quickly as I'm able with our very-limited weekly SWAP.HIVE income. The first pool will give daily payouts in BXT, which can then be staked to give daily HIVE rewards, so this is one way that I'm endeavoring to reduce our reliance on our weekly HIVE payouts from our BEE delegation to @bee.voter. The second pool has the highest SWAP.HIVE payouts of any pool, so with HP leases not yet being an option, increasing our liquidity in that pool is presently my best option to growing our daily SWAP.HIVE investment liquidity. Little by little, step by step, I'm growing our resource base, and the more I'm able to do so, the more that we'll be able to give to all of you in the 'We Are Alive Tribe' community.
Yesterday, Sunday, I left the Flow House, quite late, a little after 3PM, after finishing up my Hive-Blurt-We Are Alive Tribe tasks and asset management, giving my attention first to some photography for my posts. While the morning started out sunny and beautiful, soon the weather shifted to gray and rainy once again, so taking photos wasn't very easy, and I had zero motivation to do any work out on the land. As such, I wasn't able to get any land work done yesterday, much to my chagrin. After my photography session, I decided just to make myself some food (a pasta concoction that turned out fantastically well) in the Landing, collect my jar of leftover superfood fire coffee from the fridge, and then to head back to the Flow House, to get an early start on my evening Hive-Blurt-We Are Alive Tribe tasks, and to catch up on my Hive notifications. I got everything done very early, by a bit before 8PM (there aren't many people active on Hive or Blurt at the moment), and after some asset management, and uploading another batch of PDF books to Qortal, I went to bed a little after 10:30PM. I woke up around 6AM, having slept well, doing more asset management on my phone (since our solar electrical system crashed during the night again), going to make my superfood fire coffee in the Landing once the power has returned, getting my Qortal node back online (sadly, I missed the last payout), then beginning on this post. It's now just after 1:30PM, so it's a fantabulous time to wrap this up, so that I may get to my other few important Hive-Blurt-We Are Alive Tribe tasks, before leaving the Flow House a little later in the afternoon, to focus first on photography for my posts, straining and blending coconut kefir, and then on community/land work. 2025 Life Goals
1.) Do regular integral practices again, alone or with others.
2.) Prepare regular batches of my medicinal teas collected from the land again.
3.) Make my plant nursery, and the gardens, beautiful again.
4.) Begin learning relevant coding/programming languages to more fully contribute to the sovereignty-driven technologies where I am active, like Arch Linux, Hive, Qortal, DeSo, and Bastyon.
