The Hive investment landscape has changed quite a lot over the last few years, with it now being notably more challenging, which makes it necessary to have quite a lot of awareness and discernment, because all projects and assets are not created equally. Along with getting to know the people who run the projects and tokens, and coming to a good understanding of the off-chain crypto assets, in which we invest, it's an exceedingly good idea, I'd even call it essential, to diversify our investments across as many different asset types as possible, while at the same time leveraging those assets in ways that provide us maximum traction for our investment. I know that's obvious to most of you, but I just wanted to put it clearly into words, to help create a base of understanding for people who may have vastly different levels of investment experience.
To be able to leverage assets effectively in any particular investment domain, it's necessary to to investigate and research the assets in which we're considering investing, as well as the different possible ways to leverage them. To use diesel/liquidity pools as an example, for any sizable investments of liquidity, choosing solid assets, whether off-chain-linked crypto assets, or well-supported Hive-Engine tokens for the pairs, is very important indeed, because a weak or failing asset in a token pair will damage both our original investment liquidity and value, and our potential gains. Many pools start out great, then they spiral down as one asset crashes in value, which means that we'd be left mostly with that crashed asset, and a very low liquidity value. Choosing the right pairs is key.
As I've invested and leveraged a diverse array of assets on my account over the past 4+ years, and for the We Are Alive Tribe over the past 1+ years, I've found that I've both narrowed my focus on the assets in which I'd like to invest, as my awareness and discernement have grown, as well as broadened my search for other similar viable assets in which to invest, that I hadn't considered previously. As I've experimented, learned, and refined, I've become much more efficient and effective in these asset-leveraging endeavors.
Ben (@benthomaswwd / @benthomasuk) and I are working to make our 'We Are Alive Tribe' tokens, ALIVE and HEARTBEAT, as solid, trustworthy, useful, and valuable as possible, both for our direct investors and supporters, and for projects that may like to choose our tokens as pairs in their new pools. Many new 'We Are Alive Tribe' pools will come, and our tokens will have increasingly diverse backing, as we progress.
With the experience, knowledge, and understanding that I now have around investing in the Hive Blockchain Ecosystem, and Ben's and my regular contributions/donations/investments into building and growing our decentralized community economy and financial framework, we both expect to take huge steps this year, and we're absolutely determined to make it happen, regardless of the state of the Hive economy. Yes, we've got a long way to go, but we're moving forward quite quickly, so we'll see what we're able to accomplish in 2026.
Yesterday, Thursday, after finishing up most of my Hive-Blurt-'We Are Alive Tribe' tasks by a little after 1PM, I prepared for a session that was scheduled for 1:30PM. The session started a bit late, it went well, and we wrapped it up by a little after 5PM, after which I went to turn on the generator for a short while (it was another mostly-cloudy day), to heat up some leftover food in the new kitchen that I had in the fridge, and then with that and my jar of leftover superfood fire coffee in hands, to return to the Flow House to begin my evening Hive tasks. I got everything done quite early once again, by a bit after 8:30PM, and after some asset management, and fiddling on Qortal and X, I went to bed just after 11PM. I woke up by around 7:15AM, having slept fairly well, doing more asset management, going to make my superfood fire coffee in the new kitchen, then returning to the Flow House to write this post. It's now just after 12:45PM, so it's a fantabulous time to wrap this up, so that I may attend to my few other important Hive-Blurt-'We Are Alive Tribe' tasks, before preparing for a session that's scheduled for 1:30PM. 2026 Life Goals
1.) Do regular integral practices again, alone or with others.
2.) Prepare regular batches of my medicinal teas collected from the land again.
3.) Make my plant nursery, and the gardens, beautiful again.
4.) Begin learning relevant coding/programming languages to more fully contribute to the sovereignty-driven technologies where I am active, like Arch Linux, Hive, Qortal, DeSo, and Bastyon.
