Well, the deed is done! Yesterday evening I powered up my sizeable chunk of 13,793.679 HIVE for the August HPUD, my largest powerup to date by a large margin, which brought me to 34,696.933 Hive Power! This is a leap of just over 67% over my previous stake, which is quite substantial indeed! I don't know exactly when 35k HP will come, but I'm guessing it will be in fewer than 2 weeks.
As I said that I would, as soon as I powered up my large quantity of HIVE, I delegated another 10,000 HP to @dab-vote, to add to the 610 HP delegation that I already had in place. This will notably increase my income of DBOND, which when STAKED, produces more DAB. There will be a bit of lag from the time of the updated delegation to seeing an increased DBOND income, and then to seeing an augmented DAB income, but I'm hoping to be able to begin loaning the first rounds of DAB to @aliveandthriving and @aliveandsocial in about 2-3 weeks.
I only powered up my HIVE in the early evening yesterday, and my Hive Power is already past 34,702 HP, and with no post payouts in the interm, so it is definitely growing a bit more quickly now! It's very likely that I'll have around 40k HP or more before the end of the year, which will be a good springboard to reaching Orca Level.
Regarding the We Are Alive, we're at almost 122 HP delegated to Bradley, @bradleyarrow, and up to an income of 0.034 HIVE daily from this source, so slow and steady progress continues. We're still receiving 0.340-0.343 HIVE daily from our ever-growing liquid DAB holding, as well as around 0.2xx HIVE daily from our Ecency delegation. There's also a variable amount of HIVE that comes in from post payouts. We definitely have a HIVE income, I just need to grow it a whole lot more.
With my HP growing as quickly as it is now, I'll be able to use an increasing amount of it over time for delegations, both existing and new ones, which gives me the opportunity to support the We Are Alive Tribe and the greater Hive community more, and to augment and diversify my layer-2 assets at the same time. Keeping my ratio of delegated HP to 50% is not exactly easy, but I've been doing reasonably well lately, though I am a bit overextended at the moment. This should be easier with the accelerated HP growth, because the numbers will balance out more quickly. I still have a little over 27.3k HP to go to reach Orca Level, which is still a substantial amount, but that's my goal now, and I'm determined to achieve it.
Yesterday, Friday (my birthday), I left the Flow House, after finishing up my Hive-Blurt-'We Are Alive Tribe' tasks, by just after 2PM, giving my attention first to some photography for my posts, after which I went to lay in the sun on the trampoline in the Peanut Lawn for a while. Since it was my birthday, I didn't want to get into any work tasks, opting instead to walk around, taking photos in the late-afternoon sunlight, as I went. Thankfully it was a gorgeous sunny day, so I was able to get a lot of great shots. I went to Wabisabi in the early evening to make Avi some food (he's paying me to do so because he loves my food), to make myself some food, and to collect my leftover superfood fire coffee from the fridge, before heading back to the Flow House, to scan my X feed a bit more, and to begin my evening Hive tasks. I got through all of my notifications by around 9:30PM, and after perusing my X feed some more, I went to bed by around 11:45PM. I woke up fairly late, by just after 8AM, still feeling that I needed a little more sleep, going to prepare my superfood fire coffee in Wabisabi, then returning to the Flow House to write this post. It's now just before 2PM, so it's a marvelous time to wrap this up, so that I may attend to my few other important Hive-Blurt-'We Are Alive Tribe' tasks, before leaving the Flow House a little later in the afternoon, to focus first on some photography for my posts, and then on some jungle-community/land work and tasks. 2026 Life Goals
1.) Do regular integral practices again, alone or with others.
2.) Prepare regular batches of my medicinal teas collected from the land again.
3.) Make my plant nursery, and the gardens, beautiful again.
4.) Begin learning relevant coding/programming languages to more fully contribute to the sovereignty-driven technologies where I am active, like Arch Linux, Hive, Qortal, DeSo, and Bastyon.
