Indeed, @benthomaswwd, I'm no fan of it either, and you're right, interest on debt, and that's what HBD is, HIVE debt, can't lead to a good place. I'm honestly becoming less an less interested in HBD the more I learn about it, and it's relationship to HIVE. It also doesn't help that HBD is pegged to the US dollar, which is a fiat currency that, like all fiat currencies, is constantly declining in value, so what does that do to HBD, and by its direct connection to it, HIVE? 😁🙏💚✨🤙

Agreed i am not feeling the debt situation and earning interest on debt will only increase the issue i think.

I would rather blockchains pegged value to other things, gold or silver or similar could even be in a physical form like a hive silver coin collection each one authenticated with NFT series.

Hive is essentially just an NFT for currency in my opinion. 🤣

It's a thought anyway 😎

That's why I think that after I reach my year-end goal of 600 HBD in Savings, and just after the last interest claim in 16 days, that I'm going to withdraw all my HBD from Savings, convert it to HIVE, and power it up on the January HPUD. Doing so would give me give me a boost of over 5,000 HP.

Yes, exactly, HIVE and HBD being backed by physical assets would be an excellent idea. Heck even having HBD backed by BTC would be better, since even though it swings wildly in fiat price, it always trends upwards, and comes out way higher than it was before.

I think that our Hive accounts are the NFTs, and HIVE and HBD are how they're grown and leveled up over time. Something like that.
