we were very lucky to get a chance to stay a week with a friend from a district in north Norway called Helgelandskysten. and we were even more lucky to get exceptionally nice weather along this scenic coast. so we decided to take a stroll to see the sunset from the island of Ulvangsøy.
our friend and hindavi were with me on the walk
the tip of the island is a great place to view sunsets
from the end of the road the walk was about 1 km in easy terrain
we were a little early so we passed the time chatting, enjoying the scenery and making fun shadows inspired by images of Indian gods with multiple limbs
the island of Dønna is to the nortwest. the prominent mountain is called Dønnamannen because it resembles a man lying on his back.
though this is not the best angle to see the resemblance
the sun kissed the mountain
before saying good night
the setting is simply stunning
but the wind had been increasing the whole time so we headed home
looking back to the sleeping man in the mountain
i hope you get the chance to visit this fantastic coast someday
i have taken all these photos with my samsung s22 phone. the photos have not been edited in any way.
