Amazed at how quickly the day has arrived to visit this awesome "Wednesday-Walk-Community": to join my friend tattoodjay": in his brilliant challenge. This initiative aims to get us out of the house to exercise and photograph the places we walk.

Estas últimas semanas estuvieron realmente movidas; con las vacaciones escolares y las visitas de mis nietas, tuvimos que organizar muchos paseos en familia para mantener entretenidos a los chicos. Cuando se trata de paseos, la ¨costa¨: nunca defrauda; a los más pequeños les atrae el paisaje costero.
These past few weeks have been really busy; with the school holidays and my granddaughters visiting, we've had to organize lots of family outings to keep the kids entertained. When it comes to outings, the "coast": never disappoints; the little ones are drawn to the coastal scenery.

Como les había anticipado, cuando se trata de entretener a los más pequeños, un paseo ¨costero¨: es realmente un buen plan. En esta parte del microcentro hay muchos rincones hermosos llenos de belleza natural, con comodidades para sentarnos a disfrutar de los paisajes que solo el río puede ofrecer.
As I mentioned before, when it comes to entertaining the little ones, a ¨coastal walk is really a good plan. In this part of the city center there are many beautiful corners full of natural beauty, with amenities to sit and enjoy the landscapes that only the river can offer.

Conocí este ¨barrio¨: cuando era un niño en compañía de mis abuelos, y parece mentira que hoy estoy recorriendo con mis nietos y haciendo las mismas cosas que hacíamos en aquella época. Algunas cosas nunca cambian, sobre todo cuando sabes que hacen bien a la relación; recuerdo aquellos momentos de historia que mi abuelo narraba del lugar. Este no es solo un espacio recreativo, también es un lugar que brinda homenaje a uno de nuestros ¨prócer¨:
I first knew this "barrio": when I was a child with my grandparents, and it seems unbelievable that today I'm walking through it with My grandchildren and doing the same things we used to do back then. Some things never change, especially when you know they're good for the relationship; I remember those historical moments my grandfather used to tell about the place. This is not just a recreational space, it is also a place that pays homage to one of our "national hero":

Esta ha sido otra genial caminata en compañía de mis hijos y nietos; lo que comenzó como una caminata terminó siendo un paseo cultural en familia. La verdad es que no podía ser de otra manera, porque habíamos escogido sentarnos en esta ¨plazoleta¨: que brinda homenaje a uno de nuestros próceres, y ya saben cómo son los niños, no tardaron en preguntar qué hacía el busto en la plaza y quién era la persona homenajeada. Mis nietos me conocen y saben que me encanta hablar de las tradiciones y las historias del país.
This has been another great walk in the company of my children and grandchildren; what began as a walk ended up being a family cultural outing. The truth is, it couldn't have been any other way, because we had chosen to sit in this "small plaza": that pays homage to one of our national heroes, and you know how children are, they didn't hesitate to ask what the bust was doing in the plaza and who the person being honored was. My grandchildren know me and know that I love to talk about the traditions and stories of the country.
