In as much as we emphasize on being truthful and love not being lied to.
There are some cases, where lies are just suitable for it, we are comfortable with it and could breath freely.
In such cases, please don't dare throw in "Be honest with me" because if you encourage them to be truthful.
And they eventually fall for it and be truthful.
Your heart will bleed, you will cry blood.
You will be fine though.
I wrote this on my WhatsApp status some weeks ago, I can't remember if I included it somewhere in my Actifit post.
So, here is the thing.
Most people quickly understood this while some people like @mathewdaddywah who I believe didn't understand or maybe didn't agree with me threw in some questions.
Which I clearly didn't bother to explain further.
Because I made a whole lot of sentence with what I wrote and i was expecting him to add a sentence to his disagreement which he didn't.
This prompt for the real talk contest Wk 8 just gave the opportunity for me to explain my words above and with it.
I will answer to the prompt questions, because they are greatly related.
Truth is the ultimate foundation layer in everything we do in life.
Even the Bible didn't give room to bycuts or justification for diversification.
So, truth shouldn't be compromised, no matter the situation.
While we as humans have come to learn how to grease our elbows, pet and groom ourselves to comfort.
The opposite of truth which is lies come to play this game, smoothly for us.
As we find alternative to the foundation layer replacing it with lies that makes us comfortable and able to live peacefully.
Remember, alternative can never be same as original.
Lies paints the way colorful and can only last for a while, when it begins to fade, the original is exposed and added in the picture which makes everything complicated.
This complications brings us discomfort and causes everything to fall apart.
At the point what should be applied is acceptance though it won't be easy at first but it will eventually happen.
I have seen and heard cases where the truth was hidden to protect someone, please it's not betrayal.
No matter how finding out the truth can be painful, most times it is for the best.
Not all truth should be spoken, some are just supposed to be hidden.
For instance exposing a little child whose mind is just fragile and building to a harsh truth can definitely break that child or lead the child to something unpleasant.
It is not deceit, it is protection.
Trust me if that child grows up to be someone great tomorrow and find out the truth later on.
He/she would appreciate the protection given when they were little.
This is me explaining where protection should be applied, not unnecessary lies, that is not what I am talking about.
Thank you very much for stopping by my entry.
