I love your point. We all have a choice. So, someone telling me they have no choice is out of it. The difference between a good and bad choice is that some prefer to go the easiest way, which seems right to them, but the end comes with a tragic experience for them. Many of us tend to think we know the right thing even when wise people are telling us the truth, but we don't learn until we have learnt a lesson the hard way.
For people like the lady, I only pity them because of the consequences of their actions and not them, really. Many people deserve what they are going through especially when they have told you the right thing to do but still chose to do your own.
