Paper Trail | Mixed Media Project

My life. During the course of it, I've felt as though I were dropped right in the middle of a maze. Figuring out that life in different stages prompted me to create and stick to certain routines. Frustrating at times because it felt as though my life was merely a paper trail of lists. Of course, in life some tasks are voluntary according to one's own perception of how they desire to live.

"Must-Do's" consumed my existence.

Must accept Christ into my life (willingly);

Must obtain an education;

Must live long enough to grow into adulthood;

Must take that education and find a career to support yourself;

Must secure the career by having reliable transportation;

Must purchase reliable transportation by going into debt;

Must repay that debt by using transportation to get to career;

Must amass other debt during the course of the career;

Must (if along the way gain a family), use that career to help support them;

Must support family (if needed) by using transportation to get back and forth from career;

Must use transportation to ensure children (if any) have access to any extra-circular activities (if you've approved their participation);

Must also use transportation to provide entertainment for children, family, parents (if still living);

Must use transportation to attend functions for extended family, friends, and support them in their hour of need;

Must, if no unforeseen tragedy occurs during my lifetime, and the time has come, die in Christ;

The final Must-Do is of the utmost importance if I desire to live again without the Must-Do list.

And hopefully leave a Paper Trail that others may follow or embody.

For my current mixed media project, I wanted to portray a forlorn female who appears overwhelmed at life. On top of her head is a list of items that she feels must be completed.

For the female I utilized the stable diffusion program, StarryAI. The beautiful black birds I retrieved from another stable diffusion program, Night Cafe. The other images I included were pure fractals created by me in the advanced fractal rendering program, Apophysis 7X. Together, these images portray a chaotic lifestyle.

Below are my steps in which I utilized Canva, my design program, to blend the different type images. I leave with you my procedures which began with a blank, white canvas. I then added layers of elements.
