The road was flooded after a heavy downpour. Most inhabitants of the coastal city stayed indoors because they do not want to be victims of ugly situations.
Over the years people have learnt their lessons especially when it rains. Few years ago a young lady was almost drowned when she waded into flooded waters unknown to her that a flooded gutter was very close to her. She stepped into it and the unrushing water swept her away. She fell down and got severe injuries at the joints in her legs.
Jane knows this too well so when her airtime was exhausted she refused to to out under the rain to look for a way to recharge it. She was already feeling pains in her joint areas so she does not want to add to her pains.
The next morning she went out and bought whatever she wanted to buy. That way she avoided potential dangers on the road.
