Danna grew up with his grandmother following th death of his parents when he was still tender. He was not able to go to school because of the high school fees charged. So he stayed at home to learn a trade. That to did not work out well.
Danna went into the bush one day and made some ropes used to cut down trees - palm trees and with that he learnt how to climb palm trees and cut palms for people for a fee. With that he was able to take care of his basic needs.
But each time he see his friends drive past him in their 'big cars' he told himself that his inability to go to schools was his biggest obstacle to living a good life.
Danna told himself that his children will never suffer what he is passing through - that he will make efforts to have then trained so as to secure a better future for them. His children will never pass through what he is presently passing through.
