The final match of the inter-school football competition is always a big event for students. They usually attend it in their numbers. This apply to both the competing schools and other schools.
At the end of the final awards are given out to the best team for the tournament, the best player of the tournament, the best goalkeeper - usually given to the goalkeeper with the most clean sheets, the highest goal scored and so on.
Arnold's school got to the finals due to his doggedness in defence and his contributions in assisting with goals. He was poised to also replicate that form at the final. Many also believe that his school will win this year's competition provided Arnold plays at the final.
A day to the finals, Arnold developed some stomach problems. He took some drugs and the problem subsided. He thought that it is the end of the problem and so he volunteered to play at the final.
Few minutes to the end of the first half Arnold hit the deck and could not rise up. His teammates signaled the referee and he had to stop the match. When the referee approached Arnold he called for the medical team to come and help out. When they came and applied first-aid treatment Arnold got himself and was helped to rise up by the medical team and walked to the much relief of his teammates and fans alike.
