Paula is a young graduate who comes from the minority part of her country. She has seen subjugation and depravity thrive among her people. She vowed to make a difference once she becomes an adult. That explains the reason why she went and studied political science in one of the prestigious universities in her country.
Now a fresh graduate she ventured into politics. She joined the ruling party and as a vibrant young lady she grabbed the sole ticket to represent her constituency at the national assembly.
She was lucky indeed. She contested and won massively. Slots were reserved for women at the national assembly. She was elected as one of the principal members. She started living her dreams really.
A caucus meeting was called and like a 'patriotic' young lady she contributed positively towards the welfare of her people. But she soon realized that she was the lone voice tilting towards that angle. Her opinion was swept under the carpet. She became a loner so to say. There was so much corruption in there.
Paula was disappointed but like every other politician she had to forge ahead. She has the right to air her views but the corrupt majority usually have their way.
