Our grocer here does the best he can with the pineapples we get from Hawaii, but obviously yours must be ten times better -- plant-ripened is always best!

Any food left to ripen on the plant is better tasting and better for you.
I picked another pineapple today and have two more to pick in the next couple of days. I wish you lived close, I would share.
I know ... in warm years I have successfully grown tomatoes, and my farmer grandmother was all, "Now THESE are tomatoes!" It does make a huge difference!
