That expression is harsh, but if you don't get drastic, others will abuse, and that's worse. You have to be selective and not because you want to, but because evil abounds too much. We can't always be turning the other cheek.

Even "turn the other cheek" is used out of context by people who want to abuse, who forget ... the Lord also made whips and turned over tables, and will return as Judge ... so although it is harsh, we sometimes have to let people deal with the reality that evil has consequences.
