Well, as this week's ZAPFIC50 Friday challenge prompt is "permission", I know that I don't need it to put forth my story. All I need is the willingness and ability to do so. This challenge by @felt-buzz that is told in exactly fifty (50) words presented the opportunity to explore the prompt in a setting where authorization is only free will to exercise. For me, the prompt means one has to ask someone else for the authority to act. I absolutely abhor this, unless it's a written requirement to do so. I share a flash fiction story along those lines.
My story is below:
Icy tears clung to Jennifer's cheeks as she peered from behind the tree.
Teeth chattered. Knees trembled. Hands tingled.
Friday, 8pm. Gregory promised to meet her for their elopement.
We're of age. No permission required. So where are you? she cried.
She glanced upward toward the gray sky and prayed.

Bueno, dado que el tema del reto ZAPFIC50 de este viernes es «permiso», sé que no lo necesito para contar mi historia. Lo único que necesito es la voluntad y la capacidad de hacerlo. Este reto de @felt-buzz, que debe desarrollarse en exactamente cincuenta (50) palabras, me ha brindado la oportunidad de explorar el tema en un contexto en el que la autorización no es más que el libre albedrío para actuar.
Para mí, el tema significa que uno tiene que pedirle a otra persona la autorización para actuar. Lo detesto por completo, a menos que sea un requisito por escrito hacerlo. Comparto una historia de microrrelato en esa línea.
A continuación mi historia.
Traición a sangre fría
Las lágrimas heladas se le quedaban pegadas a las mejillas a Jennifer mientras miraba desde detrás del árbol.
Le castañeteaban los dientes. Le temblaban las rodillas. Le hormigueaban las manos.
Viernes, 20:00 h. Gregory le había prometido que se reuniría con ella para fugarse juntos.
Somos mayores de edad. No necesitamos permiso. ¿Dónde estás?, gritó.
Levantó la vista hacia el cielo gris y rezó.
