To my point of view, the prompt this week "dull" for the ZAPFIC50 Friday challenge can be any person, place or object viewed as lifeless, not having any livelihood. Something that doesn't possess a shiny or glossy aura. Not having the ability to generate interest. The words can also mean subdued, as in not having a loud presence. I share a flash fiction story along those lines. This challenge by @felt-buzz requires that the story be told in exactly fifty (50) words.
My story is below:
Glenda watched Colin cross his arms, forming a barrier.
Four years and still skirting around commitment.
Glancing at the phone, he hesitated, then answered, "can't talk now."
The display name divulged all. Collecting her purse, she walked out.
A dull ache settled in her chest.
She released a bitter smile.

En mi opinión, el tema de esta semana, «aburrido», para el reto ZAPFIC50 del viernes puede referirse a cualquier persona, lugar u objeto que se considere sin vida, carente de vitalidad. Algo que no posea un aura brillante o llamativa. Que no tenga la capacidad de despertar interés.
La palabra también puede significar «discreto», en el sentido de no tener una presencia llamativa. Comparto un relato de microficción en esa línea. Este reto de @felt-buzz exige que la historia se cuente en exactamente cincuenta (50) palabras.

Cómo minar la fidelidad
Glenda vio cómo Colin cruzaba los brazos, creando una barrera.
Cuatro años y seguía eludiendo el compromiso.
Echó un vistazo al teléfono, dudó un momento y luego respondió: «Ahora no puedo hablar».
El nombre que aparecía en la pantalla lo decía todo. Cogió su bolso y se marchó.
