Your statement caught me by surprise as there are a multitude of single mothers who, for whatever reason, have decided that it is best for them and their child(ren) to part ways with the man who fathered them.

For some, the decision turned out to be a blessing in disguise, especially in the cases of infidelity, cruelty, or just realizing too late that the person is not husband or father material.

Any man can beget a child. Not all are fathers in the true sense of the word.

Of course, I speak from a personal situation with my granddaughter.
