James’ life is a perfect description of determination and commitment, his passion for football can be compared to no other. At five, James’ parents often had issues with him returning late from school because he stayed back to play football till late evening. James loves football more than food, whenever his parents try to discipline for playing football and they deny him food, he seems to perform better on the pitch, lol.
James is a dedicated fan of Chelsea Football Club in England. He had all the Chelsea jerseys and kits in his wardrobe. Since Chelsea's main color is blue, sometimes James dyed his hair blue to match his blue jerseys, studs and hoses.
He loved Chelsea and the blue color and was never shy of talking about his fanning club even when Chelsea loses a match.
It got to an extent that some people mocked him and called him Mr. Blue, lol. But this didn't stop the young man from chasing his dream. His dream was to become a signed Chelsea footballer, he wanted to be in the fold, playing with other famous footballers in popular leagues.
James’ passion was nothing to take home about. He had a friend, Joe, who also loved football but wanted to become a doctor. Joe was always there to help James during his training. He served as a free camera man for James covering his amazing performances in several football tournaments and sometimes even his training. James would work on these videos and share them on his social media handles. He did this for over a year and nine months before his light was seen.
Luckily for James, his hard work and perseverance paid off someday when some scouts found his page, checked his videos and considered him worthy of being in the fold, among the selected recruits to be trained for official football matches.
This is how James became a professional football player and did well in his entire career. Those who mocked him and called him Mr. Blue now watches him on TV performing excellently, some even forgot the past and supported his club.
What lesson has that taught me?
Focus and determination is the key. Sometimes when the goals seem too difficult, perseverance now comes in. All these are needed if you're passionate about a goal.
I'm employing this and it's working out perfectly, just keep on trying and never give up, there's always light and hope at the end of the tunnel.
