Our town has two boat ramps on the Indian River, and any time they have an event at the park, they close the boat ramp with the largest amount of parking. This weekend, they are having the annual clambake, so instead of fighting the crowd at the other ramp, we both put our boats in up the creek. It is a long ride idling out to the river, but it beats the madness at the ramp.
This morning, while idling out of the creek, my husband saw what is in the photo. My sister and I missed it because we were still driving to the ramp. My husband said he thinks it fell from space, man made, of course. He said it must be an old satellite. He said it looked so cool and even had a tail.
My sister and I skipped a pompano on Cat Island and anchored. As soon as a bait got in the water, we had one. I texted my husband and told him we had one. As soon as I sent it, we got two more. We caught ten on that anchoring. We moved four times for nothing. I went northeast of the island and saw one boil. We anchored and one skipped from the boat. We got three more. We went as far as Summit Island and did not catch anything else, so we came in early. We had 25 pounds.
My husband was at the Inlet when I texted him and had not caught anything. He fished a big area from the Inlet to Barefoot Bay to Long Point and caught eleven pounds.
