This is my post for #freewriters 2958 prompt the secret in the attic hosted by @mariannewest

Yesterday, I asked my sister to bring some clams for bait today, but she forgot to bring them. She said the next time she comes to my house, she will bring four packages. I really wanted to try them today. Oh well.

We went back to Long Point and skipped a pompano as we came up on the flatt. Within five minutes, we caught one. Then sat there for 45 minutes and only caught two bonnet head sharks.

It seems like you can skip a pompano everywhere you go. I thought getting one to bite was as hard as finding the secret in the attic, but I think we found it, I am joking. We were catching a pompano about every 30 minutes and I saw this pontoon boat drifting our way. I told my sister when I say so reel the middle pole in and when I say, I want you to throw it back out.

The pontoon boat kept getting closer, I told her to cast back where she had been fishing and it landed not far from the boat, the guy in it looked our way but did nothing, my sister yelled to him that he was going to get in her line, and just then a pompano got on it and jumped by the pontoon boat. Then the man moved, I took the picture after he was moving.

So is the secret to getting them to bite, you have to have a pontoon boat drift almost on top of your lines?

We had two fish before we got to this anchoring and caught eight here and lost two. We had 20 pounds. My husband came home early with 4 pounds.

On our way from the boatramp another truck and boat was leaving ahead of us. A woman flagged him down and asked if he could jump her car, he pulled next to her car blocking us in. They tried jumping it and it still would not start, finally after 20 or 30 minutes the guy with the boat said he would move so we could leave. He could have let us go by to start with, as my sister says, HUMANS!!!!
