This is my post for #freewriters 2970 prompt shoot it! hosted by @mariannewest

I did not get a clear picture of the coyote in our backyard. In the photo, it is on the left side of the tree. My husband likes to feed the squirrels and coons in that spot, he said, now he has to stop feeding them.

Last week, we heard a pack of them not far from our house, but my husband thinks this is a lone male, he said it is bigger than most of the coyotes around here, and the males are usually by themselves.

I feel bad for the wildlife around here. They keep being run out of their habitat by all of the housing developments and when one shows up in an area that people live in, the people's first thought is to shoot it! Damn HUMANS!

They are running out of places to live, even the land that is set aside for animals like the preserve around my house has no room for them because the city takes a mulching machine to it, which destroys the small animals' homes, leaving them exposed to animals that eat them.....

My sister does not want to fish tomorrow. So today I took all of the pompano rods off of the boat and rigged up to small poles and tomorrow I will go see how many ladyfish I can catch and see how my hand will hold up catching them. I am hoping I can handle the smaller rods.

This is quite sad that humans are gradually replacing natural habitat of these animals with modern housing schemes and yes, the natural instinct will be to shoot it once any of them appears in sight.

I look at the new housing developments that were once woods and wonder where did all the animals go. The snakes, rats, rabbits, deer, hogs, etc, and even all of the bugs go somewhere. It saddens me.

Yes, that's the bad side of urbanization.
