It was 39 degrees this morning. I know for a lot of you, you think that is not cold, but it is to this skinny old Florida girl. I wanted to take the plants out of the shed, they have been in there since Thursday, but it is now 2 in the afternoon, and we are only up to 55, so they will stay another day. I hope it gets to above 60 tomorrow because they need to come out of it and get water and sunshine.
It is even too cold for me to go fishing. If someone came up to me and said deal or no deal, they would pay me a hundred dollars to go, I would turn them down. I can not take the cold. I have not been outside, but I know I have to go out later to collect Rudy's food, and I am dreading doing it, other than that, I am not leaving the house. I wish people would stop opening the front door, every time they do, a burst of cold air comes inside.
My sister went to the Martin Luther King parade today. She said it was the shortest parade she had been to, and not many people. I told her it was probably too cold for the people and parade floats to show up. In the past, it was a big event. The temperature was still in the low 40's when it was going on.
When this cold front hit yesterday, the wind was very strong, like a tropical storm wind. On the river, a sailboat drug anchor and now is on bottom, and the mast is broken. The owner is out of town, so one of his friends tried to pull it to deeper water, but their boat would not budge it. The owner will need to hire a tow company.
They were having an art show in the park by the river. I do not know what happened, but I am sure their tents and art had to go flying.
With me not going outside, there is not much to write about. I hope everyone is staying warm. Until tomorrow, have a good day.
