This is my post for #freewriters 3008 prompt dorm hosted by @mariannewest

This patch of grass that grows along our driveway is the only grass left that Rudy likes. It has started getting new growth since the freeze. The problem with me finding enough young shoots is that the wild rabbits need it too. Most of the new growth has the ends chewed off.

I will pick the grass from one area, then leave it alone for a few days so more can grow back. This was working, but now, as soon as it starts to grow, the rabbits find it. I feel guilty for picking it so now I do not give him as much as I used to give him.

I always buy Romaine lettuce and Kale for him, so I have been giving him more of them to make up for him not getting as much wild picked greenery.

The box he is on is his dorm, it has two ways for him to enter, but he uses one to enter, and the other he sticks his head out when I clean his cage, and I give him a snack through it. It is his snack door. He loves to sit on top of it and stare at the TV. I think he enjoys watching it. Maybe one day they will play a show that only shows rabbits. I wish Little Pisser had not passed away, he/she would have been a good buddy for Rudy.

It has warmed up enough to get the pineapples out of my husband's shed, but it is still too cold to take the orchids and desert roses from mine. We are still in the 40s at night, but we warm up to the low 70's in the day.

I think I have seven pineapples that have a baby starting to grow. I told my husband I have seven pregnant pineapples, and he did not know what I meant. Then I told him they have a baby pineapple forming. I hope keeping them inside for so long will not hamper their growth.
