His most important job is looking after his own and bringing joy to the humans who feed him. Amidst playtime and care, a friendship forms that will last for years; he will be fiercely loyal to the one who feeds and cares for him. These early interactions are where he will learn rules and commands. There is always a role for a good "Bob" to play—he will always bring joy, as well as worry whenever he falls ill.
Owners must look after his health and vaccinations, treating him much like a small child in need of care and attention. He will need his daily dose of love and affection so he doesn't feel lonely.
Bob has the best job in the world: making his owners happy, keeping them company, and wagging his tail when they come home.
This Sunday, I hope everyone has a "Bob" waiting at home, tail wagging with joy. That is his only job, and it is the one thing he does best all week long.
