To stay rational is an ability I define as the ability to keep your head while people around you are losing theirs in difficult situations.
It is an important leadership attribute of you ask me, why? You might wonder, to stay rational, is the ability to reason, weights your pros and cons of the options you or your team have when facing a situation.
Everything happens for a reason, and to reason is the basic one can do to try to get a clear picture and break the problem into smaller bits and it helps problem solving. Like finishing a jigsaw puzzle, we starts with getting one piece on the board and from there, more clues come.
Opposite to be rational, one tends to be emotional, many mistakes are committed when we are emotional and not rational. As our action is in a fit or anger or a moment of sadness. When we calm down, we tend to realize we should not have done things the way we did in that moment.
Thus, we should always try to train to stay rational, it's an important life attribute we all should desire. Do you agree with me?
