Hello dears,
Greetings from me,
Hello everyone,
Hope you all are well.
Just last week I returned from my short trip. This journey was to Jibhi village of Himachal Pradesh. To be honest, this place was no less than a peace for me.
There is no dearth of places to visit in Himachal Pradesh, but Jibhi is one of those places which is still largely away from the crowd. It is a small village, very peaceful, full of greenery and full of natural beauty. There is neither much traffic here nor noise nor crowds of tourists. The best thing I liked was the behavior of the people here. The people are very simple, helpful and talkative with a smile, which is not seen in most tourist places these days.

Honestly, I needed this trip. I was quite tired of everyday life, traffic, work pressure and the same routine. I could have gone to Manali, Kullu or Sissu, but I had already been to Manali once and this time I wanted peace and not crowds.

Another special thing about this trip was that it was my most budget friendly trip till date. We completed the entire three-day journey in just about $60 (about Rs 5000) per person.

I went on this trip with two of my friends. We booked a direct bus from Delhi to Himachal Pradesh. We took the bus to AUT, a small town connecting to Jibhi. Local buses are easily available from Aut to Jibhi or Banjar. There is also the option of taxi, but it is a bit expensive.

After reaching Aut we took a local bus and reached Jibhi. After reaching there, finding the hotel was not at all difficult. Many hotels and homestays are available for less than 10 dollars. We also took a simple but clean hotel as per our budget and plan.

On the first day we planned to go to Jalori Pass. Raghupur Fort trek starts from Jalori Pass itself. It is a trek of about 3 kilometers, but the total walk including up and down comes to about 10 kilometers. The trek is not very difficult but the path can be a bit tiring.
When we reached the fort, the view that was in front of us is difficult to describe in words. Mountains, greenery and valleys spread far and wide all around. The view there at sunset was really very beautiful. All the hard work seemed to be a complete success.

Next day we decided to take a local tour. There are many small waterfalls, rivers and natural places around Jibhi. The cafes there are also very good, where you can sit and relax. We also took some rest this day as the next trek was quite long.

Another famous trek in Jibhi is the Saryolsar Lake trek, which is about 5 kilometers one-way and a bit difficult. If you are new to trekking, it would not be wise to do both treks in the same day. It is better to plan for at least three days.
We did both local walks and treks as per our capacity. It was definitely tiring, but the experience was very good.
The third day was kept for complete rest and light sightseeing. We went to the waterfalls again, roamed around the village for some time, did some small shopping and just spent time with nature.

We were able to see everything comfortably in three days and the best thing was that the expense was not very much.
Our total expenses were approximately like this:
Including travel, hotel, food, local cabs and other small expenses, it came to about Rs 5000 per person, which is equivalent to about $60.

If you also want to travel in peace, nature and in low budget, then Jibhi is a very good option. This place is not for show, but to give peace to the mind.
This trip was memorable for me and perhaps that is why I wanted to share it with you all.
We were able to do all of that in 3 days that too within 60$ For each person!
