Durban is a place I admire so much. My Dad was from there. I also have a very close friend who lives there! But, believe it or not, I have never quite been able to make the extra couple of kilometers from East London To Durban. East London is the furthest I've been up the East coast (I'd like to spend more time there too. My only visit there was a very brief one for work and I had very little time to experience it on my own. It's especially special to me as my mom and her whole family are from there). It's a long way from Cape Town, but the drive is so beautiful. Also, flying is ridiculously expensive and its not like you can opt to stop off for rest beaks, to admire a patch of something really beautiful - of which there is plenty on the garden route.
Your images remind me of how our beaches look right now, just before silly season arrives and all the tourists hit our seaside towns. If you still want to enjoy the beach, you have to find ones that are a bit out of the way and not popular tourist attractions. I suppose it's fun though if you think about it. Also, as someone who doesn't have a swimming pool at home and is a complete water baby, whether it's the sea or pools) I need to find a place to swim! I do have a gym membership so I will be visiting them on the hot days that lie before us!
