Friends, on my recent trip to La Guaira, Venezuela, I must say that I never tire of seeing and admiring all the beautiful things that state has to offer.
To celebrate Mother's Day, we wanted to do something different, so we left the city. We passed through several towns and in 30 minutes, we were at what has become a tourist attraction for locals and visitors alike, thanks to how well-maintained and modern it has become. I'm talking about:

Amigos, en mi reciente viaje por La Guaira, Venezuela, les cuento que no me canso de ver y admirar todo lo bonito que tiene ese estado.
En ocasión de celebrar el Día de las Madres, quisimos hacer algo diferente, por lo que salimos de la ciudad. Pasamos varios pueblos y en 30 minutos, estábamos en lo que se ha convertido en un atractivo turístico para propios y visitantes, por lo cuidado y moderno que se ha convertido. Les hablo de:
Centro turístico Los Caracas.
As I mentioned in previous posts, La Guaira is the state where Maiquetía Airport, the country's main airport, is located. From there, you go to the opposite side of the city, away from the beach and towards the mountains. The good thing about all this is that it's easy to find and everything is signposted, but if not, anyone can tell you “where Los Caracas is.”
To get to the complex, you have to cross the entire metropolitan area: Maiquetía, Macuto, El Caribe, Caraballeda, which has a very beautiful view because it's all beach, sun, sand, and lots of visitors.
Once we leave the hustle and bustle of the city, we follow the road to the extinct town (a tragedy in 1999 wiped it off the map) of Carmen de Uria, Naiguatá, Anare; all with the same characteristics of the people who live and enjoy the shores of the beaches: kiosks, chairs, awnings, music, many cars, and liquor stores that cannot be missed.
We continued on, and the most beautiful and peaceful thing was the landscape. If I had stopped to photograph all the impressive views, we would never have made it to Los Caracas. Just enjoy this:

Como les dije en publicaciones pasadas, La Guaira es el estado donde se encuentra el Aeropuerto de Maiquetía, principal aeropuerto del país. Desde ese punto, se va al lado contrario de la ciudad, alejandose de la playa hacia la montaña. Lo bueno de todo esto, es que no hay pérdida y todo está señalizado, sino, cualquier persona te indica "donde quedan Los Caracas".
Para llegar al complejo se debe atravesar toda la zona metropolitana: Maiquetía, Macuto, El caribe, Caraballeda, que tiene una vista muy bonita porque todo es playa, sol, arena y muchos visitantes.
Una vez que salimos del bullicio de la ciudad, seguimos la via hacia el pueblo extinto (una tragedia en 1999 lo borró del mapa) de Carmen de Uria, Naiguatá, Anare; todos con las mismas características de la gente que vive y disfruta las orillas de las playas: kioskos de venta, sillas, toldos, música, muchos carros y licorerias que no pueden faltar.
Seguimos avanzando y lo más bonito y tranquilo es el paisaje. Si me hubiese detenido a fotografías todas las vistas impresionantes que tiene, jamás llegamos a Los Caracas. Solo disfruten de esto:

When we arrived at the site, I had the feeling of “Is this really happening?” Well, yes, the union of the river with the sea is a phenomenon that is not often seen. I mean, rivers flow into the sea somewhere, but being able to swim and enjoy an excellent day is not very common.

A pesar de que en días anteriores llovió, para nosotros esa mañana estaba soleada, despejada y la vía es muy tranquila para manejarla. Yo quedé enamorada y no quería que se acabara.
Al llegar al sitio, es la sensación de "¿Esto es posible que ocurra?" Pues si, la unión del río con el mar, creo que es un fenómeno que no se ve muy seguido, es decir, en algún lado desembocan los rios, pero que podamos bañarnos y disfrutar de un excelente día, no es muy común.
Parking is free, and you have access to enjoy the facilities: barbecue, awning, chairs, and visit the beaches and rivers. Parking costs range from $2 for motorcycles (my large motorcycle costs $3) to $5 for trucks. Another thing I liked is that you park and have your barbecue area right there, so you don't have to walk far; everything is very close by and the people are very friendly. However, you should bring everything with you because there are no shops nearby to buy anything if you forget something at home.

Se cancela el estacionamiento y tienes acceso a disfrutar de la instalación: parrillera, toldo, sillas, y visitar las playas y ríos. El costo del estacionamiento varía desde los $2 para motos (la mía que es grande paga $3) hasta las camionetas que pagan $5. Otra cosa que me gustó es que estacionas y allí tienes tu sitio de parrilla, no tienes que estar caminando mucho; muy cercano todo y la gente muy amable. Eso sí, debes llevar todo porque no hay locales cerca para comprar si se te queda algo en casa.
There weren't many people there that day, so we had quite a few places to choose from. I should point out that there were about 15 of us, most of whom were senior citizens, so we had to find a relaxed place for them.

Ese día no había muchas personas, así que escogimos bastantes lugares para ubicarnos. Tengo que resaltar que nosotros fuimos unas 15 personas, y la mayoría de tercera edad, entonces teníamos que encontrar un sitio relajado para ellas.

I loved the tranquility, the nature, and THE SAFETY! Several times I left my things behind and when I went back to look for them, they were still there. I loved the family atmosphere, the calm waters, no extra charges, and no annoying vendors like we had in Cartagena or Punta Cana.

¿Cuánto le doy al complejo turístico Los Caracas? 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Me encantó la tranquilidad, a naturaleza ¡LA SEGURIDAD! Varias veces dejé mis cosas olvidadas y cuando las busqué, allí estaban. Me encantó lo familiar, lo tranquilo de sus aguas, no hay sobreprecio y tampoco hay esos vendedores fastidiosos como nos sucedió en Cartagena o Punta Cana.

You can stay overnight at Los Caracas. According to our friends, it's very safe. Just bring your things and you can camp, as they also have bathrooms and electricity. In the past, it was the most popular place to stay outside the city.
Now, if camping isn't your thing, there's glamping; these new houses in the middle of nature are also attracting attention in Los Caracas. They've been heavily promoted by influencers, but I wasn't interested until I saw them:

En Los Caracas te puedes quedar a dormir. Dicho por nuestros amigos, es muy seguro. Solo traes tus cosas y puedes acampar, ya que también cuentan con baños y electricidad. En otros tiempos, era lo más sonado para quedarse fuera de la ciudad.
Ahora, si lo tuyo no es la carpa, están los glamping; estas nuevas casas dentro de la naturaleza, también llaman la atención en Los Caracas. Han sido muy publicitadas por influencer, pero no me sentí atraída hasta que las vi:
Prices range from $120 depending on the season and occupancy because they offer all-inclusive packages (meals and drinks). In a country where the economy is in shambles, I think it's only for foreigners or very wealthy people. On the other hand, if we spend money on a tent, water, food, drinks, and other small items, I don't think the prices are that different. Let's say it's an experience I plan to have soon, whether I stay in luxury or on a budget😎; after all, it's the same water 😉.

Los precios oscilan desde los $120 dependiendo de la temporada y la ocupación porque ofrecen unos paquetes con todo incluido (comidas y bebidas). En un país, donde la economía está hecha un desastre, pienso que es solo para extranjeros o personas muy adineradas. Por otro lado, si gastamos en carpa, agua, comida, bebidas y menudeces, creo que los precios no están tan alejados. Digamos que es una experiencia la que pienso vivir próximamente de quedarme a dormir, ya sea modo rico o modo pobre😎; total, es la misma agua 😉.

Los atardeceres
Miren, una de las cosas que me entusiasma el de quedarme es LOS ESPECTACULARES ATARDECERES. Me comentaron que es lo máximo, pero hasta que no los ves, no puedes dar la opinión. No pude fotografiar mucho y esta no es una comunidad de atardeceres, pero quiero que aprecien conmigo esta belleza:
