4,765 meters above sea level is quite high, not for weak hearts for sure. Having the system in 1960 was definitely an engineering marvel.

        I imagine that for that time it was something incredible to have a cable car like that.
        Being at that altitude with unfavorable weather conditions must be very difficult, we were lucky that it was a sunny day in spite of the clouds.
