Historical places tells us the past Civilizations and their way of living and culture. It shows the great and interesting stories behind of the areas.
I really like to visit and explore some historical place located here in Linangga Manticao, Misamis Oriental. It keeps me gained more ideas and I can truly imagined how those Native lived here. For centuries ago, there are lots of changes of the site. From a village to a farm place on present time. Hills are also filled with lots of houses according to the historian here. This hill was once a village areas were lots of small houses built. This is a kind of open place and only houses can be seen that time. At the middle of this hill was a big stones and as the historian says, it was a place were some native people worshipped their Gods.
This open space here was once a Native Cemetery. This place was once a grave areas and all of the people who burried that time are native, for many centuries and years has past, archeologist discovered lots of bones and tools here and after that they filled the hole with soil and now it is completely developed into a wide agricultural land. The place is now covered with wild grass and it is perfect for farm raising animals like cows and goats. This slope area is perfect for overviews were lots of coconuts can be seen and found.
Hundreds of coconuts are found here, and all of it are already produced lots of fruits. This is perfect for an agriculture activities in fact the land owner is very lucky because of this plain place. Aside of that, this is also a racing site to all bikers and motorcycle riders that time. Camping trips and picnics are also very perfect to do in here.
This is a stream located near at the abandoned native village, there are lots of big rocks and some small channel of water that connects all together here going to the river. According to the historian, this stream are very important to all native people for their washing clothes, agriculture activities and farm animals. But due to intense heat, this stream will completely dry and it only contains lots of water when there is a heavy rain happens here. Despite of that, people who came from far place loves to visit here for Nature adventure.
There are also lots of big trees grows here and some of it are already submerged in the fresh water. The river keeps expanding until today and some of the big trees are now washed away and submerged by fresh water. Native trees like molave, balete and mahogany can be seen and found here. As for that, there are lots of wild animals like birds lives in here and fish lives and hid under in this big and old molave trunk.
Aside of the stream, a wide and clean river can also locates in here. This wide solid stone was also a washing areas to all native people in here. Lots of shrimps, fish and crabs can also be found here and it will completely submerged by fresh water when there is a big flood. The views here are very Natural because it is quite far from urbaned places.
This area was once a fry land but as the soil erosion keeps happening here, it is completely turned into river side where lots of peebles and find sands can be found. Some of the trees are nearly reached by the river and some of it are washed away. Children loves to swim here and it gives a great contributions to all native people who lives here that time. The place remain its natural beauty and truly I can say that this area is very historical. Until next post, have a safe travel to everyone.
