This road trail leads to the abandoned agricultural land in Bandera Mountain. It is located at the middle of the silica stone at the top of the hill. According to the historian and elders, this place was once a wide corn field. Native people used sharp wood tools as making small hole to the ground before puttinf the corn grains. This place contains corn plants but now it is completely abandoned and the only thing we can see is the wild grass and some bushes. Artifacts like old jars and potteries also recovered here and already exhibited in local Museum here in Manticao.
Bandera Mountain is also a perfect place to do Camping trips. In fact there are some plain land located at the top of the hill that can be abled to put tents and spend a day together with friends and Families. Lot of Mountain climbers and campers likes to visit here and build a camp and some of them are bikers and motorcycle riders who loves riding on a motorcycle in an obstacle road trails. The part of the plain land were best for camping sites was also an agricultural land were lots of Pineapples and sugar cane planted but it is also totally abandoned many years ago. According to elders, there was a place were a small structure for extracting sugar cane or in local term it is called, "Intusan".
This place is also surrounded with neighboring big mountains just like this one. The neighboring Mountain also known as the Boundary point of Zone 23 and Zone 4 in Market place. It contains lots of overlooking views and the wide plain places of Manticao particularly the rice field near at the National road.
If we talked about wild grass and big stones, this place also contains that kind. In fact Bandera Mountain and its neighboring abandoned agricultural areas is a perfect place to raised farm animals like Goats and Cows, but as the Native people leaved, the place is totally abandoned. Lots of wild grass and big stones can be seen here since this place also contains tons of Silica stones. Most of the stones are falled down from the top and ended here for a long time.
The place are now installed with power lines to distribute electricity to Other Sitios near in this areas. This two big power lines connects to the Below plain grounds and substations here in Manticao and it is installed at the top of the hill.
The Old Stream:
Not far from the place is the old stream and this place is very important to Native people specially by fetching lots of water for their plants and animals. This is not an only an old stream but also a deep wheel. The shallow place at the middle of the stream was also a deep wheel and the native people fetch water here. The place is very cool because it covered massive of trees. Due to intense heat happens here, the stream was totally dried and the old deep wheel also abandoned.
Native people also used this big roots as ladders going to the stream, and it can be seen until today. But some roots are already vanished and covered with mud and dry leaves. The stream and an old deep wheel are now already covered with wild plants and trees but it remains its natural beauty and it is really a fascinating place to visit.
Worshipping Tree:
This is very old Salimbonot tree located at the place and according to the elders, this place particularly the tree is the worshipping areas of native people. They offered Goods and animals here praying Anito, their God. But as many years has past, the once an open field and offering areas are now completely covered with thick wild grass and bushes.
