All of us really loves to visit and travel the place, it keeps us more relaxing specially during summer season. Here in the Province of Misamis Oriental, Beaches, wonderful views of coastal areas and shorelines are very popular and it is one of the best tourists destinations and spots to all adventuristic people. One of this is the coastal areas of Kurbada located in Barangay Punta Silum Manticao, Misamis Oriental. The Word "Kurbada" which means Curve derived from the location of the place because of the curvy road and shoreline. From Barangay Poblacion, it needs to travel a few minutes riding on different kinds of passenger vehicles like Motorcyles, Jeepneys, tricycles and many more. It is quite far from the Main road that is why it needs to walk a few kilometers away from the Main streets.
Even if the place is filled with lots of rocks and corals, still it contains a great and paradisiacal views of the sea, cliffs and even shorelines.
Unlike the other coastal areas, this place also contains tons of fine black sands called "Margaha". Some of big corals and stones are almost covered with fine sands because of the strong current of big and rough waves. Swimming spots is also a perfect place here in fact there are lots of deep places with finw sands underwater can be seen. Every summer season, there are lots of people or tourists went here just to explored and spend a good and relaxing time together with families or friends. Camping sites and picnics are also perfect here because of the plain areas facing to the sea.
This rock walls has been built many years already and it helps to prevent the place from soil erosions brought by big waves. The big splash of sea water reached here and it is also supported with concrete to make the structure durable and cannot be easy destroyed by waves. Those piles are made of corals and other kinds of big stones and it is also addens the beauty of the place. Lots of sea shells sticking to the rock walls and some seaweeds also grows on the rock pile.
This tons of bolders falled down from the high cliff and landed it here submerged by sea water many years already, in fact some of the big rocks are already covered with seaweeds, seashells and few manggrove plants. The sea level indicates on where it reached because of the line marks in the cliffs. Rock pools and trapped sea water animals like fish and shrimps can also be found here and shinny stones with different kinds of shapes and colors.
Every high tide, there are lota of marine animals can be seen and found here just like this crab. It comes out in the rock holes or in the sands when it hunts for food. This is the reason why there are lots of fishermen who hunts fish, crabs and shrimps here everyday.
Peebles and fine sands really found here, it can make the place very more attractive because of the colors, sizes and shapes. There are lots of peeble's color here and it is very shinny and good for landscapes decorations. Broken corals also be seen here and it mounts on the coastal areas because of the rough waves always happens here.
This area is good for fishing spots, in fact there are almost 50 small boats floating in here every afternoon until evening. Lots of different kinds of fish can catched here and aside of that, there is also part of the place that will presserved and made as a fish sanctuary.
