Greetings hive travelers around the World, this was my first time to visit this abandoned site here in Lugait, Misamis Oriental particularly in the abandoned Hatchery, the San Jose Aqua Farm. This is the only hatchery cultured lots of shrimps, prawns and fish that time but now it is totally abandoned by the owner. For today's travel blog of mine I will take you the abandoned place were lots of fish tanks made of solid concrete can be seen and found. San Jose Aqua Farm is not really far from the Main road, it takes a few seconds before reaching the place and at the other side of the main road is the Fabrication Site. Most of the structures here are already coveref with wild grass and big trees but some of it are still can be seen and went.

This site is totally measured about 4 hectares of land and all of the place are lots of fish tanks and other kinds of structures. Some of this is the Laboratory structure were all of it are made of solid concrete. The rooftop is also made of concrete including floors and walls. This can help prevent of not be destroyed by strong wind due to bad weather. Inside of this structure are different kinds of Laboratory apparatus used to examine the fish and a few small boats made of light materials just like plywoods and lumbers used for fishing. The entire place is covered with solid concrete so the workers that day can avoided of getting muddy or dusty. The windows are made of glass windows and some ornamental plants and flowering plants.

This was built many years ago, and totally abandoned. Some of the fish tanks here are already having big cracks due to earthquakes and wild grass almost covering the entire fish tanks. But despite of that, the structures are remains intact even if there is already a crack at the walls. Approximately, there are 100 fish tanks here at it contains different depths, wideness and designs. Canals are already block by thick wild grass including its sewage systems going down to the big man-hole were the water waste flows.

This structures is not really deep and it is coated and painted with white paint so the fish can easily seen. Each side of the fish tanks contains this long concreted canal system were the water go through everytime when they do harvestings and cleaning the fish tanks. Those big post made with concrete also was used as a foundation of the place were metal poles installed and attached those nets and plainsheets as rooftop that time.

This very old telapia fish tanks is nearly covered with big trees and wild grass. Some of the tanks are already destroyed by big roots and the staircase made of concrete also broke. This are the first fish tanks they conctructed here before those big tanks constructed afterwards. The trees are now grows at the crack of the structures and wild grass are also continuing to covered the entire place.

This hatchery also contains three filter tanks but as many years has past, some of the tanks are already destroyed and there is only one filter tank left and it is located at the rocky cliff of the hatchery. Today, big trees are already grows near at the filter tank and it is equipped with lots of polytheline tubes to supply sea water of the entire hatchery. There are lots of people wants to visit this place exploring the abandoned place, seeing and watching those old structures at the areas. Until next post, have a nice and safe travel to everyone.

Thanks for using @worldmappin 😘

Is this aqua farm ruined now? It really looks great. I like it a lot.

Yes, most of the structures are already ruined my friend.

Yeah I see

Thanks for touring us virtually. Do u happen to know why the owner abandoned the place? looks like it was once a thriving place.
Also, is this area publicly accessible? Do visitors need to pay any fees before entering?

It is free to enter here according to the residents lives near at the hatchery, the owner decided to sell the land that is why they've stopped the operation.

Thanks for sharing! I'm curious why it got abandoned. Seemed like the hatchery business wasn't doing well if that is the case.
