When we woke up this morning, we did our usual routine. Ollie was awake around 6:30, so Aimee brought him into bed, and I lay there for a few minutes, wondering how to function, totally unsure of the time, but sure that I didn't get enough sleep.
We went downstairs, and I had a coffee while Ollie had his bop. After that, we all hung out for a couple of minutes watching TV until Kaleb woke up and followed us downstairs.
Kaleb charged into the room and jumped on the couch to look out the window, asking about his football, demanding that we go outside to play. Luckily, he settled for playing with it in the sitting room while he waited for a drink and something to eat.

Aimee and Kaleb left the room, and Kaleb came back in with a bag for me.
I had completely forgotten it was Father's Day, so it was a nice surprise.
He had a huge smile as I looked at everything, and then I showed him the card and read it, and he pointed to the little robot and said, "That's Kaleb, and that's daddy", as he pointed at the big one.
Then he went upstairs with Aimee and brought her dad his gifts.
When he returned, his smile had faded as he settled in on the realisation that there was no gift bag for him.
We thought fast, and I gave Aimee the bag, and she scrambled to put a few things in it for him. She came back into the room with a lunch box full of strawberries and a banana, a small cake, and a pack of bubbles that we left over from Ollie's christening.
When he opened it, he was over the moon, and he distributed the bubbles to everyone after finishing his food.
After a nice morning of playing, my dad and other bandmates arrived so we could get a few hours' worth of a jam in, in preparation for an upcoming gig this Friday.
The jam went really well, and there aren't any issues with the set.
I gave my dad an Ash figure (from the Evil Dead), which he seemed to like. I was trying to buy him a Red Dwarf box set, but sadly couldn't find one, and I told him as much. I'll keep looking, though.
For the rest of the day/ evening, we are just going to chill out.
