Hello, beautiful people! Welcome to my blog. It's a pleasure to have you in this space. Once again, welcome 🤗
Being a mother is a journey that's filled with lots and lots of responsibility. I don't think there's any amount of preparation that can truly prepare one for the rollercoaster ride that really lies ahead. A few Sundays ago I had the opportunity to share my thoughts on motherhood during a Mother's Day celebration panel discussion at my church, and one of the moderators asked me what advice I would give to upcoming moms.
Motherhood is very stressful; it comes with countless sleepless nights, constantly worrying about the well-being of your kids, juggling multiple tasks just to make sure that everyone and everything is in order, and there is this pressure to be perfect—you just want everything to be the way it is in your head. But despite all this stress, I would say it's a stress that's worth it. When I look at my kids' bright and innocent smiles, all the exhaustion, stress, and anxiety melt away. It's a feeling that's hard to put into words, but it brings this sense of pure joy and fulfillment that makes every struggle worthwhile.
I would say this: To upcoming moms, it's okay to not have all the answers. It's okay to make mistakes and not get things right, and it's also okay to ask for help. Motherhood is a learning stage; you get to learn every day during the process, and it's a journey that requires lots of your patience, love, and resilience. Don't be too hard on yourself, and don't ever get to the stage where you compare your journey to someone else's. Know that every child is unique, and every mother's experience is different.
I read on time on Facebook where a lady said it took her 10 years before she was able to balance being a mother, wife, and career woman. Be patient with yourself; you are not in competition with anyone; just be you.
What is most important is that you cherish every moment with your child, no matter how chaotic and stressful it may seem. Those early years of our kids' lives fly by quickly, and before you know it, your little ones will grow up and become independent. What makes motherhood rewarding are those memories of laughter and the tears, so embrace the journey with joy and gladness and count it all joy that you had the privilege to experience motherhood.
THANK YOU FOR READING TO THE END 🤗
