This time I want to do something different, yes it is a review, but not of a series nor of a movie, but of something different but very related and useful, precisely to watch our favorite series and movies. Do you use any app to track? Now there are many apps available, but during the month of July something happened, a very famous TV Time announced that it was closing in two weeks, in the middle of July, so suddenly users panicked, we had to find a substitute app to make the change and not lose more than a decade of accumulated content, as was my case.
So yes, today I'm talking to you about the app that I found, it is a review of a tool that can be interesting to track series and movies, and in some way also create a community. It's called Framerate.
What is this about?
Well, what I said, it is an app to keep track of everything you see, it is to mark the titles but it is much more as well. You can see the progress in the case of series, even choose the type of version of the movie you have seen, if it is the extended edition for example, or a director's cut. You can rate not only movies, but also series, in their entirety, by season or by episode, and not only that, you can give a separate rating to the plot, acting, cinematography and soundtrack. If you want, you can also add some more details, such as the mood in which you watched the movie or the rhythm you perceived. They are not essential functions, but they make everything much more personal.
The reviews are also well done. You can write a brief reflection on a movie, but also review a season or even a single episode, something that does not usually happen in applications of this type. And of course you can make your watchlists and custom lists, whatever you want, useful for organizing what you want to see or creating thematic collections.
There is also a social part, so you can follow other users, read their reviews, compare ratings and compare your profile with that of another user, this is very original, right? And you can automatically translate all the comments, in settings you can decide if you want to have it like this, and there are people from all countries already, excited to be users of this app, creating a community little by little, not only in the app itself but also on X, where this whole thing really took shape, especially last July. On the other hand, the application collects all the statistics about your viewing habits, from the genres you watch the most to the number of movies and series you have watched throughout the year.
Among the most useful features are also notifications, which notify you when a new season is released, a trailer arrives, or a movie is available on a streaming platform. Then, each title has a complete sheet with cast, images, trailer and all the main information. In addition, there is always news, recently it has included the talent section, where you can follow a specific actor, and thus follow their entire filmography. As you can see, there are so many functionalities to discover... you just need to familiarize yourself little by little.
And if you were already using another app to keep track of what you watched, you can import your library without having to start from scratch. That is a great advantage, as is the fact that it has a web version, because sometimes we are with the computer and we can also manage the profile, especially at the beginning, when we want to add more viewed data that perhaps was not in our imported file.
Although if I tell you the truth, what has most conquered users is the interface, with a careful aesthetic and vintage style, which makes it truly different from others, it has not simply copied TV Time, it is unique. And not only that, you can personalize your profile, not only with a photo, but with a background, and even changing the posters of the series covers and posters! And I must say that there is almost a competition to make each person's profile more and more aesthetic!
Finally, those who support their project with Patreon get advantages, such as being able to put their profile photo with a gif, and others... apparently there will also be news in general about gifs. Well, I think I left out more things but I invite you to discover the app, and to follow us there!

Yes, a detail that made me decide on this app, at a time when many other apps began to emerge at that time... is that the creator of the app is always on X, and always available to interact with us.
He always answers everything we tell him, in fact, at the beginning I told him about not only adding the option to import all our data, but also to export it, not with the intention of taking it to another app, more than anything so that from time to time we can download it and thus have a backup copy with us, and that we will not be stressed again by the possibility of losing all our accumulated data. Well, Mark, the owner of the app immediately implemented it, and continues to ask us to always include new improvements, with that good mentality, I hope it becomes the best of the apps.
