When I look at the price of gold I rather see whether the currencies are losing value or not. It's going to be the same for BTC. If BTC goes up it could mean that USD is devaluating... ;-). It's always a question of perspective.

        That's very true. There's always more than one point of view on everything. If Bitcoin dethrones the dollar, then we'll see it more clearly.
