Know that deflationary is not necessarily good for token holders. This could be more like a reverse split. For example, lets say the business operation decides to speed up the need for the token price to trade higher. A higher trading price is often perceived as better in attracting more investors. Now if the cash flows are not great enough to fuel a significant buy back, one way would be to consolidate the tokens. Say 10:1 where your 1,000 token become 100 and trading at 10 times higher.
