I don’t know the rules either. That’s what my project is about.

Right now I’m liking stuff I like and disliking stuff I don’t like. That seems to be what social media is for.

I personally had not disliked your post. But then you pinged me and complained about posh token.

I then looked at your post and disliked it because I agree with the opinion-voter. You reached out to me!

Then I pinged @acidyo.

Then he read your post and downvoted it too.

What’s the deal? What’s the dislike button for? Am I not allowed to dislike something?

So I buy HIVE, power it up, and then you are telling me what to do?

This seems like a scam? Is it a scam? What do you want from me? Why the hell wont you leave me alone?

I’m going insane over here hulk hogan style and there is cottage cheese all over the place. There is strawberry scented candles and a charizard is rubbing my back.

Is this heavens or hell? What is life? Maybe it’s just like a box of chocolates but it’s covered in tuna juice.

It triggers me that people think I'm abusing hive with a project I've spent countless hours on trying to make this ecosystem worth something and get nothing but this dumb fingerpointing and potentially enabling others to abuse due to its existence.

It would piss me off too if people were openly accusing me of being corrupt and having nothing to back it up.

That’s happening to me right now? I’m being called a scammer when I have never powered down hive and my biggest sin was hitting the dislike button?

It’s all nonsense.

I’ve had very few actual debates and mostly just scammers respond.

I have people say they can’t afford electricity, that I’m a bad person, that I’m a scammer, that I’m selfish, that there is some giant conspiracy, that they don’t have time to make good posts, that they need hive to pay for their server maintenance and they don’t have time to make a proposal.

It just seems like a scam. What the hell is going on here?

HIVE is not free. We sacrifice capital appreciation in exchange for content with the HOPE, that people will write things they like, and cherish the HIVE they have earned.

That formula is broken. It’s not working as designed.

People don’t care about HIVE. They think HIVE is endless and abundant. That this is sustainable.

It’s not 🤷‍♂️

And I’m not making “rules” this not being sustainable is just math.

Most people here legitimately believe HIVE is a faucet and it will never end.

I don’t know who the hell told everyone that. It’s not true. It’s never been true.

This whole thing is like some mind virus / psychosis.

and not just that but that the content brings people from outside of hive to our front-ends, something close to no one even bothered to try ever since posh. That is quite literally one of the main ideas behind the author rewards pool.

instead we get autovote farming, vote selling through delegations (@eds-vote and many more potentially), authors earning rewards for no effort they'll have a super easy fun time dumping cause they got it for free, etc.

There is real value in HIVE. And a lot of good things have been built around here. There are a lot of solid projects. HIVE is worth cherishing in my opinion.

People don't have to do much at this point, they just have to actually CARE about the ecosystem. The problem is, caring about something is way fucking harder than not caring. Like they are polar opposites. They aren't even comparable.

The whole point of crypto "was" to get money out of tradfi and into a “more” democratized digital world where commercial banks and central banks don't just control us.

People on HIVE do the opposite. They live off HIVE and just sell it constantly for fiat.

They think fiat is worth more than HIVE. That is crazy. So crazy I just don’t know what to say.

yep they don't value it, a lot of it is due to this whole stigma around downvotes and some treating it like it's the end of the world and whoever does it is an awful evil person even if they have the best intentions around it. I don't know where that stems from but looking at the defenders on goodbye posts of accounts like freecompliments it's easy to see how easy it is to shun those trying to do good with downvotes while taking the easy route and protecting anyone who gets downvoted no matter the actual reasons and how they've been getting scammed for years by the very person they're siding with in that post.

It's time we normalize downvotes and while I may no fully agree with some of your delegatee's downvotes I welcome the initiative as long as it's done in good spirits.

I don’t agree with all of their downvotes either.

But that means it’s working. They are different people than me running the accounts. If you disagree with some of them, I think that means they are working correctly.

I have the master keys right now so I can turn anyone off if I want. But I don’t know who is controlling which account.

So even if someone wants me to change something, I would have to go in there and do it, I can’t ask the person to change what they think.

I kind of think that’s how it should be.

Cause if they know that I know who they are, they are more likely to vote based on what I do. I don’t want that.

If this works, what we should end up seeing is antiabuse and opinion-voter vote against me on some things…. 🤣

Okay, I'm not going to continue this discussion.

The dislike button exists, and everyone can use it however and whenever they want.

I only use Hive to stay in touch with other people I've met here over the last 5 years.

I don't want this to somehow become something I have to worry about.

I'm going to continue my life peacefully.

I like talking to people. If you don't like me hitting the dislike button, reach out to me, that's fine.

But once you start accusing me and other people of something. That's kind of weird?

What did I do? Am I a free? Evidently not, you want to control my dislike button.

That's kind of weird. Do you want me following you everywhere and telling you what to like and dislike?

If you want to talk, I'm around. If you want to ping me. I will personally write you a small novel. I like talking to people.

You can write good content and make way more money. You don't. That's a choice. You are free to do what you want. Hive is free to use. No one is stopping you.

I should be able to like and dislike what I want. You should be able to post what you want.

That’s how HIVE works no? If not, please tell me what these rules are that you think exist that I’m not following?

I feel like my reason is reasonable.

I didn't like it, I hit the dislike button, that's it. It's not more complicated than that.
