Nothing beats shore diving! It was years ago, but warm water diving is the best. It was a great experience, and I saw so much!
I won't dive in cold water ever again, once you've been in tropical water you're spoiled for life! The reefs really are amazing there. Last time I dived there I think I saw a few reef sharks and tons of fish. It was beautiful!
I was astonished by a 10 ft tarpon, and a school of small barracuda! And a sea turtle and a moray eel. Diving in Bonaire was like entering paradise!
It's even a little more spooky when a reef shark suddenly swims right in front of you too! Big fish can definitely be scary when they come out of nowhere!
I only ever saw nurse sharks. Fire coral was the most threatening thing I directly encountered. 🦈
Fire coral is to be avoided at all costs! lol Nurse sharks are really cool to see. Most reef sharks I've seen are small. I have seen a tiger shark or bull shark pass by in the distance before. They aren't real interested in people usually
