I didn't bring this up this time, I'm actually trying hard to forget this. But it was brought up by somebody else and I did give my input.
And yes, I still think it's extremely overpaid for the results brought back to Hive ecosystem. To make it worse, using the reward pool. It should be wrong even if the results were good.
You're crying about posh again when @ratel got downvoted for reposting content.
We're barely even using a fraction of the reward pool compared to what goes to posts, most that total less views than this share got this post. And you know this.
I didn't downvote ratel, didn't even know this account ever existed until now. I didn't start this conversation now, someone else did in a discord server.
All I know is that you have no idea what the real results are. There has probably been only one onboard out of this afaik, and you know too. You can't even tell how many views actually came from reddit and how many was organic on Hive. You have zero accountability.
I also know that countless posts that got less then 5 views paid out more then 20 Hive to the user sharing. Do you want me to start sharing the links here for you, so at least you have a bit of accountability?
What you are doing is wrong and you know it. The biggest problem is that it's being done in the shade and not many people actually know about it. Like @cwow2 that just learned about it now.
I always saw you as a Hive ambassador, someone that represents the community. But in reality you are just like a spoiled kid that thinks you are always right, and when confronted just has a tantrum and starts cursing to everyone, telling people to "get their head out of someone elses ass" or "you are a cunt" or "go fuck yourself". Hive is really lucky to have you as an ambassador.
The biggest problem is that it's being done in the shade

if you're gonna go on your posh rants in public discords you can't expect people not to find out about them.
Curation isn't always about direct traffic, it's also about effort and many other things that we may reward authors for, to keep them posting/sharing, try new things, stay involved, keep trying, etc.
You like to hammer down on a project that's just taking off because it's not instantly showing results while there's close to nothing even close to it in the space bringing in traffic to our ecosystem and focusing on a few power-sharers as if they're abusers just because they know how to share well and take over the top viewed page on peakd.
I'm all for criticism about curation, but it's not like I'm picking favorites with certain sharers over others, even though some make it hard when they go overboard with it or just share stuff that may not generate much traffic, I just try to curate it in a neutral way and hope they improve and more people join and our ecosystem becomes known outside rather than where we are right now.
If it's not worth it then what is the loss exactly? Some authors got 3% less rewards? If it's not worth it I'm sure people with a lot more stake are going to let me know rather than 1-2 people who can't get it out of their head and keep getting into arguments about because they want to be right about it.
I'm not hiding my thoughts, discord servers are public and if I didn't want it to be public, I would DM people. I'm trying to have civil conversations, you are the one having tantrums.
So I got it now! YOU get to decide where the reward pool should go, only YOU. You know better then anyone what curation is right? So you feel entitled to do whatever you want. 👍
I don't want to hammer anything down, I even offered my help to create tools to make it better, but you don't want it because you know that when we see real numbers, it will be disappointing.
You still don't get it, it's about community. We as community decided how the reward pool should be used. It doesn't matter if the project is good or not, this is NOT the purpose of the reward pool, period! You are creating precedent where people will say that they can do it too, then you will have to accept it, or you will create a conflict. It's about ethics.

You're literally the only one complaining about it, and you've complained to many yet most don't care. It's hard not to make it out to be you having ulterior motives about it compared to you trying to be protective of the reward pool and wanting what's best for hive.
If giving people a few cents for putting in the time to share their or other people's posts is overrewarded, people are free to downvote them. Although it's weird that they'd focus on that compared to the thousands of posts farming autovotes/delegationforvote projects, etc.
You thinking the reward pool should only be used for posts and comments is quite limited thinking. Naturally however if author rewards are being farmed to only benefit a few, then it's not really the same as posh. If posh ends up doing well, you benefit from it indirectly as well through your stake in this ecosystem.
