You are right about them elevating price before the offer. It's a cheap trick that's been going on for the last few years but not every products are elevated though. Laptops had really good discounts but some phones ended up getting more expensive during offer season lol. Best to join some reddit group if you are gonna buy something. The gang usually posts discounts on sale which is quite helpful.
