I dont think anyone expects that if Bitcoin goes up x10, all cryptocurrencies will follow suit. But when it comes to drops, majority of crypto always move in correlation.

Lol, this is a very frustrating aspect of it all isn't it? One thing I have been looking at to calm my nerves is to look at the value of my particular altcoins in relation to the value of BTC, not to USD. Some of the minor coins have actually gone UP in value if compared only to the value of BTC. I have no idea how this is calculated but it puts my mind at east a bit.
