This is exactly what we must redesign technology to favor the birds

This is a video captured and posted on YouTube of a bird basically decimating a Mavic drone. It flew right into the drone and the drone began to crash land.

We created these devices and put them where they belong without asking mother nature for permission as we have been doing with modern industrialization for centuries now.

Birds have been taking those routes from way before civilization was even a concept. From long before there were borders and from long before there was aviation law for sure. Then we showed up and thought we had the right to put our rotors and GoPros into the sky for our delivery schemes to work and the sky would just adjust and let us in.

I doubt the bird was making an attempt to attack but I could be wrong. I've watched it a few times over to try to figure out whether the two crashed into each other or the bird saw and thought it was a threat.

But for this to happen like that was a surprise to me. What surprises me even more was how naive we were to just assume the sky was open space. When a fallcon or sparrow hits something in the sky, they do give a heads up before they hit something. Which means having drones fly more frequently, to ensure th de accidents reduce is entirely up to us. We can't except the birds to adjust.

We can engineer the ability to physically fly, and we can pretend as if we have a right to be in the sky but truth is we don't. I'm starting to even wonder if technology has anything to do with what mother nature intended us to evolve into being about to develop. What if the earth didn't create space for our technology, then everything we do, we're 100 percent responsible for the drawbacks.

The physics allow for it but physics and permission are two completely different discussions.

Drones will continue to be built and put into the sky and birds will continue to fly in the sky and at some point, we will have to design our drones to work around birds, not the other way around. The sky was occupied when we chose to look to it for something desirable.
