Housing is becoming a very serious problem in Europe, especially in Southern Europe.
As usual, on the weekends I meet up with some of my old friends for a drink, and many topics always come up, and this is one that comes up week after week. When I was younger—I'm still young—I made the decision to buy a small apartment, and as the years went by, with the children, I ended up buying a house. But many of my childhood friends didn't. At that time, we were told that we had to be modern like the Germans and that renting was the best option. It was a constant discourse in the media. But it didn't seem like such a good idea to me, and I listened to my parents' advice, and so I did.

Many of my friends who didn't do it today have major problems managing their expenses and even choosing where to live. Young people find it impossible to buy a home with their salaries. The reasons are many, but I'll talk about that in another article. What I wanted to say is that you shouldn't be influenced by what others, especially the media, say. You have to reflect and think for yourself about what's best for you to do, because let's not kid ourselves: you will bear the consequences of your decisions, not those who advised you.
