En otros de mis posts le comenté las características de la ¨reserva¨:  que acostumbramos visitar para estos deleites naturales, y para aquellos que se preguntaban cómo luce en su totalidad, les comparto este ¨enlace¨:  para que tengan una idea de cómo es el predio. Uno de mis lugares favoritos de aquí son las ¨praderas¨:  como saben, este es un espacio hermoso cubierto de "pasto", así llamamos aquí a lo que ustedes conocen como ¨hierba¨: , plantas ¨forrajeras¨:  y flores ¨silvestres¨:  acompañados a su alrededor de hermosas especies de árboles. Unas características que tenemos en mi ciudad es que son praderas ¨templadas.¨: ; esto está asociado a nuestro clima, días cálidos en veranos y fríos en el invierno. La biodiversidad que hay en las diferentes praderas es realmente admirable, haciendo que la ¨ fauna¨-y-flora¨:  del lugar sea cautivante.

In other posts I mentioned the characteristics of the "reserve": that we usually visit for these natural delights, and for those who were wondering what it looks like in its entirety, I share this "link": so you can get an idea of what the grounds are like. One of my favorite places here is the ¨praderas¨: . As you know, this is a beautiful space covered in "grass," which is what we call what you know as ¨hierba¨: , forage plants ¨forrajeras¨:  and wild flowers ¨silvestres¨: , surrounded by beautiful species of trees. One characteristic of my city is that it's characterized by its grasslands. "temperate"; this is related to our climate, with warm days in summer and cold days in winter. The biodiversity found in the different grasslands is truly remarkable, making the "fauna"-and-flora" of the area captivating.

Un ejemplar hermoso de nuestra ¨fauna¨:  que se encuentra en este "paraíso" natural, es un ave muy tierna conocida con el nombre de ¨hornero¨:  es originaria de este ¨continente¨:  y es muy común verlos en lugares donde habitan las personas; una característica es que pasa mucho tiempo caminando entre las ¨hierbas¨:  buscando ¨insectos¨: para comer. Al parecer, este ejemplar está muy familiarizado con la presencia de las personas, dado que nos vio que estábamos cerca y fue como si no existiéramos.

A beautiful example of our ¨fauna¨:  that is found in this natural "paradise", is a very cute bird known as the ¨ovenbird¨: . It is native to this ¨continent¨:  and it is very common to see them in places where people live; One characteristic is that it spends a lot of time walking among the "herbs": looking for "insects":to eat. Apparently, this specimen is very familiar with the presence of people, since it saw us nearby and acted as if we didn't exist.

En cuanto a la ¨flora¨:  de este encantador lugar, dimos con una flor preciosa de una planta conocida con el nombre de ¨Canna¨-¨indica¨:  es originaria de ¨America¨-del-¨sur¨: Si bien es una planta que se cultiva para ornamentar un jardín por la variedad de colores de sus flores, es más conocida por ser una planta que se siembra por sus raíces comestibles que contienen un alto grado de ¨almidón¨: , con el que se preparan alimentos, y en algunos países se usa al ¨almidón¨: junto con otros ¨ artículos¨:  para la construcción de ¨plástico¨ ¨biodegradable¨: 

Regarding the "flora": of this charming place, we came across a beautiful flower from a plant known as "Canna indica":. It is native to "South America":. Aunque antiguamente a los ¨hongos¨ se los clasificaba como parte de la ¨flora¨: ;incluso en la actualidad muchos piensan que sigue siendo así, les comento que ellos pertenecen al ¨reino¨ de los ¨Fungi¨:  y, como tal, no podrían faltar en este ¨paraíso¨ ¨natural¨. Aunque la presentación y el colorido de este ejemplar no están en sus mejores días, ha sido genial encontrarlo en esta caminata ¨científica¨:  Esta es una de esas actividades que en los últimos años se puso de moda; lo interesante de ello es conocer más mientras caminamos. El "hongo" que les presento en esta oportunidad es conocido con el nombre de ¨Pycnoporus¨-¨sanguineus¨:  son originarios de la ¨Isla¨-de-¨Guana¨:  No son de esos hongos que buscas en la naturaleza para preparar una deliciosa comida; a estos ejemplares se los busca por tener "propiedades" "curativas", y la industria está tras ellos por todos los usos que se les puede dar. Esta ha sido otra genial visita a la reserva; dimos con muchas cosas muy interesantes de aprender.

Although in the past "fungi" were classified as part of the "flora":;and even today many still think so, I would like to point out that they belong to the "kingdom" of the "Fungi": and, as such, they could not be missing from this "natural" "paradise". Although the presentation and colors of this book aren't at their best, it was great to find it on this walk.

¨científica¨:  This is one of those activities that has become popular in recent years; the interesting thing about it is learning more while we walk. The "fungus" I'm presenting to you today is known as Pycnoporus-sanguineus. They are native to Isla-de-Guana. They aren't the kind of mushrooms you look for in nature to prepare a delicious meal; these specimens are sought after for their "healing" properties, and industry is after them for all the uses they can have. This has been another great visit to the reserve; we came across many interesting things to learn.
