Everything in life is all about risk and there's no way we can survive in this life without taking a risk, whether it is calculated or not.
Like I used to tell people around me, this life is all about taking risks and one particular risk I know people, most especially, women take is to get pregnant which to me is the greatest risk.
It's the greatest risk to me because of the 50-50 chances attached to it, but all the same, there's a way God always uses to deliver pregnant women from the risk of pregnancy.
So, in my own view, both the mother and the unborn child are at risk when it comes to conception, pregnancy and giving birth which makes these three a universal risk which every human must and have passed through. So, getting pregnant is a risk on its own.
Having said that, I would also say that there's many other daily risks which it's a must for all humans, but that's not where I'm going today. Briefly, I would like to share with you the major risks I have taken in life.
One of those risk I have so far taken is that one which happened when I was posted to an unsecured state for my NYSC, then, no one wanted to stay in this particular state as the risk of being killed was on the high, but because of my belief that I don't have my own life and that it's God that has orchestrated my steps to that particular state in the country, I decided to take the risk and stay in the state and at the end, it's a risk that worth it for me as nothing bad happened to me throughout my stay in that particular state.
In fact, I stayed for many years in that particular state doing a business that flourished and made me what i am today.
Aside from this, I am also married from a tribe in the same state and now blessed with children. So, taking a risk to stay back when others are redeploying to a safer state later paid off for me and I have never regretted my action till today.
However, after years of being established in this state, I decided to take a risk of coming back home. A home I have left many years back to come and continue with my business, so, I take the risk of relocating down to the south from the north and this time around, the risk was not worth it as my own kinsmen were the one that duped me of the capital which I intended to invest with.
I couldn't believe I was being duped by my kinsmen, but there's nothing I could do to prevent this and this really affected me, but now I have learnt to always be vigilant and take calculated risks which would salvage the future for me.
Thanks for reading.
